Our 2-year health guarantee protects your puppy against the following hereditary and congenital conditions:

Respiratory Health

Brachycephalic Airway Syndrome is a key concern for Pugs. All our breeding dogs are evaluated for airway health and breathing quality. Puppies are guaranteed against hereditary respiratory conditions for 2 years.

Genetic Conditions

Our breeding stock is DNA tested for breed-specific hereditary conditions including Pug Dog Encephalitis (PDE), Hip Dysplasia, and eye disorders. Your puppy is covered against these inherited disorders.

Congenital Defects

We guarantee against congenital heart defects, liver shunts, luxating patellas, and other birth defects that may not be immediately apparent. Coverage extends for the full 2-year guarantee period.

Veterinary Certification

Every puppy leaves our care with a full veterinary health certificate issued within 72 hours of pickup. We provide complete medical records, vaccination history, and deworming documentation.

What to Expect

When you bring home a Pug Lovers Kennel puppy, here is what you can count on:

Initial Veterinary Visit: We require you to schedule a wellness exam with your own veterinarian within 72 hours of receiving your puppy. This establishes a baseline health record and validates our guarantee.

Complete Health Records: You will receive detailed vaccination records, deworming history, microchip registration information, and a signed health certificate from our licensed veterinarian.

Spay/Neuter Agreement: Pet-quality puppies must be spayed or neutered by the age recommended by your veterinarian. This is a condition of our health guarantee and part of our commitment to responsible breeding.

Ongoing Support: We are available for the lifetime of your puppy. Whether you have questions about diet, behavior, training, or health concerns, our team is just a phone call or email away.

Annual Checkups: To maintain the health guarantee, your puppy must receive annual veterinary wellness exams and stay current on all vaccinations recommended by your veterinarian.

Guarantee Conditions

To keep your health guarantee valid, the following conditions must be met:

Veterinary wellness exam within 72 hours of receiving your puppy
Annual veterinary checkups and up-to-date vaccinations throughout the guarantee period
Proper nutrition with high-quality food appropriate for Pugs and weight management
No evidence of neglect, abuse, or unsafe living conditions
Written notification to Pug Lovers Kennel within 48 hours of any diagnosis
Diagnosis must be confirmed by a licensed veterinarian with supporting documentation

Our Commitment

If a covered genetic or congenital condition is diagnosed within the 2-year guarantee period, Pug Lovers Kennel will work with you to find the best resolution. Options may include:

Replacement Puppy

A puppy of equal value from an upcoming or available litter, subject to availability.

Partial or Full Refund

Reimbursement of the purchase price, either partially or in full, depending on the circumstances.

Veterinary Cost Assistance

Financial assistance toward the veterinary treatment costs for the diagnosed condition.
